Eleftherios (Lefteris) Manios is a composer for film and television, as well as a music producer.

Born in Athens, Greece, he explores a rich sonic palette that blends indigenous instruments, orchestral elements and modular synthesis. Constantly searching for new sound worlds, his scores move fluidly between orchestral, electronic and hybrid realms.

He began his studies at the University Of West Attica, in the department of Food Science and Technology but soon realized his true path lay elsewhere. Driven by curiosity and creativity, he immersed himself in music production, teaching himself the craft and producing instrumentals and beats for artists both locally and internationally. Over time, he deepened his knowledge through specialized studies and seminars on ‘Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television’ as well as ‘Audio Mixing and Sound Design’.

Blending cinematic storytelling with Mediterranean lyricism, his music bridges orchestral tradition and contemporary sound design, creating an expressive and immersive sonic landscape. His work is shaped by a deep love for narrative, atmosphere and emotional storytelling.

Music was there long before I knew what to do with it.

Growing up, I was surrounded by the records and CDs my parents played at home. Pop, disco, jazz, rock, hip hop, folk music. Different sounds and different worlds, each leaving its own impression. Before I understood music, I was already absorbing it. My first attempts at making music came at a young age, playing instruments such as the xylophone and the metalophone. Then, as I grew older, I stepped away from music.

I turned my attention to studying Food Science and Technology, following a path that seemed far removed from the world I had first discovered as a child. Yet music never really disappeared. It stayed somewhere in the back of my mind, a persistent feeling that I couldn't quite explain or ignore. Even when I was focused on something else, it was still there, quietly waiting.

For a long time, I felt I hadn't found my calling. I was searching for something that felt right, something that gave me a sense of purpose. Eventually, I found my way back to music. There wasn't necessarily one defining moment, but a growing realization that this was where I wanted to be, and that it was worth pursuing.

In 2017, I began taking my first steps into music production, creating beats and sharing them on YouTube under the name ‘ghostlefty’. It was a way to experiment, learn by doing, and explore music on my own terms. What started as an outlet gradually became something more, opening a door into music production and setting me on a path I would continue to follow.

I began producing music for other artists. Working on different projects allowed me to explore sounds, understand different creative perspectives, and discover how music could serve someone else's vision. Over time, this process became a way of finding my own voice. I began to understand not only what I wanted my music to sound like, but also what I wanted it to express.

Along the way, I deepened my knowledge through specialized studies and seminars in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television, as well as Audio Mixing and Sound Design. These experiences broadened my understanding of sound and its possibilities, particularly its ability to shape an atmosphere, support an image, and tell a story beyond words.

Today, my work moves between cinematic, neoclassical, electronic, hybrid, and contemporary music. I am drawn to the space where these worlds meet, where acoustic textures can coexist with electronic elements, and where a simple musical idea can gradually grow into something larger. For me, the style is never the starting point. What matters is having something worth expressing.

My inspiration comes from people, moments, and the projects that give music a reason to exist. Sometimes an idea begins with a feeling; other times, it emerges from a story or a particular creative challenge. I need to find something meaningful in what I pursue. Once that connection is there, the music begins to take shape, often revealing its direction along the way.

I often think of music as a wave from the sea. Sometimes it is calm and almost still, leaving room for the smallest details to breathe. Other times, it builds into something powerful and unpredictable, carrying everything forward. There is a natural movement between these states, a sense that the music is always going somewhere, even when its destination is unknown.

That is what I hope to offer the listener: a journey. Not a fixed narrative or a prescribed emotion, but a space to feel, imagine, and discover something of their own.

In 2020, I collaborated with Greek artist NOE on the track ‘Trele’, which reached number one in Greece and was certified gold. It was an important milestone in my journey, and part of the experience that shaped my work as a producer and collaborator.

In 2026, I contributed additional music to 'ReCrucified',  a film directed by Theo Papadoulakis and based on Nikos Kazantzakis' novel ‘Christ Recrucified’. My contribution included the end titles track, ‘Xanastavronetai’, which became part of the film's pulse and identity, as well as music for two additional scenes. Working on the film brought together many of the things that draw me to music: storytelling, atmosphere, emotion, and the relationship between sound and image. It offered an opportunity to contribute to a larger artistic vision, where music becomes part of the world of the film and helps carry its emotional weight beyond what is seen or spoken.

That same year, I released ‘Ab Integro (Cycle)’, my first independent debut single. Releasing music under my own name marked a new step in my journey, allowing me to share my own musical perspective more directly. It brought together the experiences, explorations, and questions that had gradually shaped my voice, while opening the door to what comes next.

I don't see music as a destination I have reached, but as a path I am still discovering. There are always new sounds to explore, new stories to become part of, and new ways to understand what music can do. The process is one of constant movement, shaped by the people I meet, the experiences I collect, and the meaning I find in the projects I pursue.

Ultimately, I want to create music that feels honest, music that comes from a genuine connection to something beyond the sound itself. If a piece can offer someone a moment of stillness, bring a forgotten feeling to the surface, or take them somewhere they didn't expect to go, then it has found its purpose.

And perhaps that is what keeps me returning to music: the possibility that, through sound, we can discover something we didn't know how to express, or feel something we didn't know we needed to feel.

For now, I keep following the sound, seeing where it leads, and listening along the way.
